The world on the edge,
Is this what Hawking foresaw,
Did Sloan and McGuire
Sing ahead of the time
We are now stumbling over,
Would we say we deserve
Leaders like the twits down under,
The North American wonders,
The European buffoons,
Xi Jinping and his goons,
The world on the edge,
Bulging with bureaucrats
And corporate plunder,
Are we heading into the thunder
Of Einstein’s sticks and stones,
Or will Vesuvius and pals
And the old Ring of Fire
Sing liar, liar,
And start the world
Over again.
