A portion of the population
Believed and followed
Whatever they were told,
Presidents, politicians,
International media
Read from universal
Scripted notes,
Bankers and their swindles
Fused with Wallstreet
Ponzi peddlers,
Doctors and science
Tumbled down the ladder
Of trust and respect and
Vied with sleezeballs
For the bottom rungs,
2021 shrugged as it was leaving,
It’s not of me you’ll be grieving,
Beware of 2022.
