Safe And Effective
From the bottom of the steps
Of a house somewhere,
He spoke about
Leadership in tough times,
Why did Baghdad Bob come to mind,
He explained he meets with
Protesters who’s philosophy
He believes in,
Non-racist, peaceful, non-destructive,
The images of historic monuments,
Statues, defaced, torn down, destroyed,
Came to mind,
And the sickening picture
Of him kneeling in the street
At the feet of Black Lives Matter hooligans,
He spoke about how safe
How effective the experimental vaccines were
And that children should be part of the experiment,
That he follows science,
The realization that he knows as much about
Science and medicine as he does about money
And budgets balancing on their own
Danced on his podium,
He went on to say that two of his children
And he himself had just tested positive for the virus,
Didn’t he just say safe and effective?
I watched hours of live streaming
From the truckers convoy in Ottawa,
Saw the Terry Fox monument draped
In a Canadian Flag,
After listening to Trudeau and Singh,
Was it my eyes and ears or the politicians
That were bullshitting.
