Did it only take two years
Of tyrannical power
To turn politicians,
Bureaucrats, doctors,
And so called experts
Into people that the
Tomb of the unknown
Soldier stands against,
To turn police officers
Into armed, uniformed
Paid goons and thugs,
To turn journalists into
Simpering propagandists,
Did the MPs. MLAs,
Premiers and judges
Who went into hiding
On a February week-end,
While the goons and thugs did
Their political dirty work,
Think they would be
Remembered,
Did it only take two years
Or are some people
Simply born that way?
