As We Spin
As we spin
At 1,000 miles per hour,
As we revolve
At 67,000 miles per hour,
As we zoom
At 448,000 miles per hour,
As we wander
At 79 miles per second,
Do you ever wonder
Why we don’t have to hang on?
Where are we going?
Isn’t it cool we all have window seats?
Do we ever stop for fuel?
How do souls get on and off?
It should be everyone sit back
And enjoy the journey,
Then some assholes rise
Out of nowhere,
Usually psychopaths and politicians
Who pretend they know how to drive,
Bullshit that they know where we’re going,
Forcefully rearrange seating
And generally turn the trip
Into a nightmare,
We have to learn to tell
These assholes to fuck off,
Look after the garden,
Share the food and water,
No one knows how long
The spinning will last.
