Crunch Time
There was a sense
We were on the verge
Of crunch time,
Many were waking
Proving that old line
That time will either
Promote or expose you,
Experts turned out to
Not be experts at all,
So-called leaders were
Simply the seventies-eighties
Cool ones who hung out
In the halls and the malls,
Although not a saint,
Putin’s Empire Of Lies
Speech echoed and echoed,
Sanctions were boomeranging
Debates were exploring
Was it a PSYOP, pink elephants,
Or mass psychosis that entranced
Great portions of populations,
The old Judas factor seemed
Alive and well.
