A Fine Line
There’s a fine line
Between life and death
Between good and evil
Between right and wrong,
Some say it’s all subjective,
Why are they shelling civilians,
It’s okay it’s thousands of miles away,
Then you look at ground zero,
Those you looked up to as heroes
Withholding simple medications
Prescribing poisons for fellow citizens,
As you wrestle with the monster
Struggling to keep your balance
On the fine line
You get a glimpse of one of the causes,
Most people go somewhere nice
Pretend they don’t see
Pretend they don’t hear
Pretend they don’t know
Condemn anyone who
Speaks about it.
