I suppose
We can all go back
To that precise time,
The exact moment
When we realized
Things are not
As they appear,
The experts,
The professionals
Portraying themselves
As guardians of the
Country’s best interest
Was pure bullshit,
We put that behind us
And carried on with
Our lives and whatever
Until the moment
We wondered if things
Would have been different
If we would have engaged
With the system,
Or would we have simply
Succumbed to the stupidity
Exemplified by our current
Experts and so-called leaders.
