Many started to wonder
If this was the pattern
Of all past, lost
Civilizations,
Incompetent,
Self- centered so-called leaders
Destroying their own countries,
The exalted professions
Mediocre and muddling,
People marching
For the right
To kill
Unborn babies,
All in the name of
Saving the planet.

Prancing with impunity
Governments and officials
Hiding, ignoring the ramifications

Some thinking that looking the other way
