Just Noticing
As a kid I noticed,
Sometimes with several
At the table,
A piece for each on the platter,
Some would take one,
Some two or three,
Some would take none
Realizing there wasn’t enough
Left to go around,
As an older adult
I notice it’s the globalists,
The save the planet preachers,
The virtue signaling ones,
The Governments,
Who fill their plates and their pockets,
Look around for a to go bag
As they lecture us about
Cutting back and
Sacrifice.

Special people brought over
A surprise bag and in it was
A Chocolate Seal Point - Seal
Point Lynx/Savannah cross -
Eight-week-old male kitten,
What do you think
What will you call it
The special people asked,
“Get Lost”, my wife said,
She wasn’t fond of cats,
The name Loki was chosen
And life with a cat in a
Surprise bag began,
Two months in and my wife
Loves Loki,
Conversations in an unknown
Mystic language with Loki
Make more sense than the EU
And western leaders banter,
Truth is, Loki is the best surprise
Gift we have ever received,
