Spheres And Illusions
Amidst the ghosts and clamor
Of time and ages past,
Sabers echoing on armor,
Terrified horses, shouts and cries,
Serfs swearing, toiling,
Today’s delirious diatribes
Are muffled as the old and new
A lists gather for an invitational
Royal funeral,
Laptops, briefcases, cash,
Hush money, deceit, treachery,
Greed and war lurk in the shadows,
Serfs literally and figuratively
Still being screwed.
