A ring re-sized
A gold clasp repaired
An opal adjusted
And the dance around
The moon took
Us back to when
We first met,
There were ups and downs
But isn’t that exactly
What makes a roller coaster
So exciting, so much fun,
Over lunch at Dockside
We waltzed in each other’s eyes,
Living our early twenties dream
Of growing old together.

Prancing with impunity
Governments and officials
Hiding, ignoring the ramifications
Of their actions from covid, their AZOV

Some thinking that looking the other way
Camouflages them like pissants
