Wandering around the country
When I was in my teens,
I could never have imagined
How dumbed down, illogical
And stupid things would be
Sixty years down the road,
Here we are on the edge
Of a nuclear dilemma,
The brilliance of JFK
Replaced by the combined
Idiocy of the Seven Stooges,
Who, individually and collectively,
Have destroyed the fabric and economies
Of the countries they were elected to oversee.

Beneath our feet
Grinding, crumbling, groaning,
Plates sliding, slipping, sticking,
Above, governments confused,
Deceiving, plotting, scheming,
With good, bad, no intentions,
The sane among us sit in the sun
Sipping tea and coffee resigned
To the fact that sooner or later
Something has to give.

Would you be alarmed
Or just walk and nod,
If you visited the temples
