The Lottery
We have all won the lottery
Although most never realize it,
You know that old fertilization thing
One chance in how many millions,
Well, here we are,
We escaped the abortion sting
Spent nine months in cramped quarters
Breathing and eating through a tube,
Arrived to bright lights
Moans, groans, cries of pain,
Farts, pushing, pulling and tugging
And were slapped until we cried,
Some wonder why some people are
Screwed up,
(Not remembering that’s how it all started)
We spend a lifetime going
Through shit and stuff you couldn’t make up,
Buy lottery tickets trying to get away from it all,
Some of us end up in cramped quarters
Breathing and eating through a tube
Waiting for the next trip that
Most try not to imagine.
