The day after Remembrance,
The last notes of the Last Post
Echoed into silence,
The speeches done, tears dried,
Memorabilia back in boxes,
It’s resume again this time Ukraine,
Russia or is it China, Taiwan, Haiti,
Yeoman, Pakistan, Brazil,
There’s always someone to
Demonize and keep the endless,
Needless wars tolling,
The weapons laundering machine rolling,
The clergy in the corner sanctifying horror
The talking heads babbling propaganda
Fuck off,
Leave us to our struggle
Clinging to a dancing speck of
Entropy.
