There was a time
When there were cigarette ashtrays
In doctors waiting rooms,
Our family doctor smoked a pipe,
Dozens of scientists and experts
Extolled the safety and benefits
Of smoking,
Tobacco companies were sponsors for
Everything schick, cool and groovy,
Similar clowns dance today,
Don’t be fooled by titles
And Ivy League degrees,
If the past three years
Have not clued you in
Your sense of smell
May be waning,
If it smells like shit
It just might be,
Bullshit.
