I went out to cut down
An old tree,
When suddenly several birds
Settled on the branches,
Underneath the chatter and
Wonder of it all
I put down the saw,
Perhaps our politicians,
Bureaucrats and technocrats
Should visit an old tree,
Like an old tree,
There’s more to a country and
Patriotic freedom than
Woke globalists seem to
Understand.
