Walking in the evening,
Clutching to the shadows
Of the Middle Ages disguised
In twenty-first century facades,
The demented king mumbles and
The government agents move against
The people while the court jesters chant
The lies and propaganda on big screens,
Subjects drinking tainted water
Swallowing garbage food,
Snowden still in exile,
Assange in a dungeon,
Fauci fangdangling
With the king’s court
Of so-called Lords and Ladies
With projected pronouns.
