By May first twenty-three
It was apparent,
There were good people
Sprinkled about
From top to bottom,
Over-ridden and over-shadowed
By incompetents and nasties
Posing as leaders and experts,
Some of the acting was ho-hum,
Most of it pitiful,
Of course there were turnips
Pretending to be strawberries,
Peaches marching as garlic,
And all sorts of idiocy
Testing those struggling
To hold on to their faith.

Prancing with impunity
Governments and officials
Hiding, ignoring the ramifications
Of their actions from covid, their AZOV
Proxies, genocides and the Middle East disasters,
Some thinking that looking the other way
Camouflages them like pissants
