Out Of The Cauldron
On the last day of spring 23
Civilization’s cauldron was warming,
Many had climbed out of the pot,
But most relaxed in the warmth,
Governments and corporations
Were shoveling, attempting to bury
History’s largest crimes against humanity,
It was illegal to reveal criminal activity
And dark secrets carried out and held by
Governments and companies,
Neocons, eugenicists, think tank twits,
Who spent too many days in locked rooms
With like-minded individuals,
Gloated and celebrated,
Some politicians, clergy and judges,
Preoccupied with the hierarchy of multi-genders,
Had difficulty explaining what a woman was,
Proxy wars, corruption, censorship still raged,
Mainstream media outlets still lied,
Still cried when truth was hinted,
Those recovering from climbing out of the
Cauldron bruises, the weight of realizing
Everything all at once,
Had a growing faith,
A growing optimism.

Prancing with impunity
Governments and officials
Hiding, ignoring the ramifications
Of their actions from covid, their AZOV
Proxies, genocides and the Middle East disasters,
Some thinking that looking the other way
Camouflages them like pissants
In the asters.
