Into the summer of 23
Rolled the echoes
Of the moron mantras,
Own nothing and be happy,
Banning free speech
In order to save it,
Controlling freedom
For the common good,
The climate crazies
And UFO alarmists
Whistled in the wind,
The cries and moans of those
Dying in the Ukraine proxy war
Were smothered by the applause
And cheering from the warmongers
And Neocons shouting propaganda
From safe cities countries and
Continents away.

Beneath our feet
Grinding, crumbling, groaning,
Plates sliding, slipping, sticking,
Above, governments confused,

With good, bad, no intentions,
The sane among us sit in the sun
Sipping tea and coffee resigned
To the fact that sooner or later
Something has to give.

Or just walk and nod,
If you visited the temples
And found out the truth
