Some discover that the countries
They risk their lives to get to,
Crawling under barbed wire,
Swimming through shark infested waters,
Only to find paradise is a corrupt
Slimy swamp controlled by creatures
As devious and dangerous
As what they ran away from.

Prancing with impunity
Governments and officials
Hiding, ignoring the ramifications

Some thinking that looking the other way
