Due to the sanctity of life
The death penalty is banned,
Suicide is okay,
There is a MAID Program
To insure efficiency,
For those on the street,
Free drugs and paraphernalia
Are available to help
Your overdose along,
In a never-ending support
For democracy,
Money, ammo and weapons
Are available for those shelling
And bombing civilians,
If civilians are locked in a fenced area,
Bonus ammo and aircraft carriers
From the US may be available.

Beneath our feet
Grinding, crumbling, groaning,
Plates sliding, slipping, sticking,
Above, governments confused,
Deceiving, plotting, scheming,
With good, bad, no intentions,
The sane among us sit in the sun
Sipping tea and coffee resigned
To the fact that sooner or later
Something has to give.
