Real Awakening
The pennies dropped, the lights came on,
When groups of idiots called governments
And their media mouthpieces from around the world
Supported and applauded the anchoring of aircraft
Carriers and support fleets off the coast of Gaza,
The smirking red flag folded and the relentless
Bombing of over two million caged civilians,
The slaughter of thousands, half of them children,
The realization that Neocons, Nazis, Zionists,
Narcistic, psychopathic dictators, whatever the badge,
It’s evil the same no matter the name,
No matter the ancient books and prophecies
Mumbled to justify the barbarity evil was revealed,
For billions of people of various creeds and colors
The real awakening had begun.

Beneath our feet
Grinding, crumbling, groaning,
Plates sliding, slipping, sticking,
Above, governments confused,
Deceiving, plotting, scheming,
With good, bad, no intentions,
The sane among us sit in the sun
Sipping tea and coffee resigned
To the fact that sooner or later
Something has to give.

And discovered the fraud
Would you be alarmed
Or just walk and nod,
If you visited the temples
And found out the truth
