There are many sides to a story,
Many stories have misbegotten beginnings,
But millions of people marching,
Protesting the Palestinian plight
Is a story that gives hope for humanity,
Protesting over two million
Palestinians, nearly half children,
Corralled in Gaza, denied water,
Food, medicine, electricity,
Bombed and shelled every day,
An Israeli government labelling
Them sub-humans in a demonic
Attempt to justify their actions,
Governments around the world
From the King’s speech to the newest
Ladder climbing bureaucrat,
Approving, supporting, applauding,
Is another story,
Who are the sub-humans,
The abusers and their supporters
Or the abused,
Why did Governments
Give multiple standing ovations to
A Ukrainian Nazi, then attempt to ban
Prayer at Remembrance Day Ceremonies,
Stand supporting the Gaza Ghetto slaughter.

Beneath our feet
Grinding, crumbling, groaning,
Plates sliding, slipping, sticking,
Above, governments confused,
Deceiving, plotting, scheming,
With good, bad, no intentions,
The sane among us sit in the sun
Sipping tea and coffee resigned
To the fact that sooner or later
Something has to give.

If you went to the moon landings
And they were not there
Would you be surprised
Or simply not care,
If you dug into governments
And discovered the fraud
Would you be alarmed
Or just walk and nod,
If you visited the temples
And found out the truth
Would you follow your instincts
Or pretend to be couth.
