Politicians volley pathetic propaganda,
Excuses and double-talk,
Over ten thousand children killed in Gaza
And they lob soggy statements, reasons,
And justifications,
Hanging chads goofball Gore calls for
Banning online news and social media,
Democracy suffers when their bullshit
Isn’t gobbled up by everyone,
Presidential medal of freedom recipient
Evil Albright once said, the deaths of half
A million children were worth it,
Nutcase Netanyahu hasn’t scratched
The surface,
The sad sack bunch posing as leaders
Look right, look left, look right, look left,
As the killing, volleying, lobbing continues.

Beneath our feet
Grinding, crumbling, groaning,
Plates sliding, slipping, sticking,
Above, governments confused,

With good, bad, no intentions,
The sane among us sit in the sun
Sipping tea and coffee resigned
To the fact that sooner or later
Something has to give.
