By early spring of twenty-four
Invisible battle lines were forming,
On one side narcissistic psychopaths
Pushing for control of every aspect of
Other people’s lives,
Pathetic ones to whom total subjugation
To narcissistic psychopaths was happiness,
On the other side
Those wanting neither control nor being controlled,
A motley mix of personalities, faiths, and reasoning.
