Years, years ago,
Growing up
In very lean times,
Beans on toast topped
With fresh slices of garlic
Was a favorite in the days
Of wild freedom and dreams,
Days that cannot be imagined today,
Nor can unmodified bread, beans and garlic,
Be easily found for beans on toast.

Unlimited currency printing and debt,
The pathway to freedom –
Censorship, lockdowns, surveillance,
Restricted movement and travel,
The pathway to health –
Pharmaceutical drugs, vaccines,
