Geographically the second
Largest land mass in the world,
Bordering three oceans,
Forty million people
Of all faiths, races, philosophies
Expanding around the great
Canadian Shield,
Geologically perhaps the oldest
Above water land on the planet,
Pegged at four billion years,
At times led by myopic, narcissistic
Individuals and parties enamored
With emulating the crowded squabbling
Countries their ancestors came here
To get away from.
