Reasons
People do things for various reasons,
I’ve met a few politicians over time
One in particular comes to mind,
A medical man as well as an MP
He explained why he voted against
Mulroney’s proposed GST,
It wasn’t good for the people
For the country he said,
Although they made his life hell
As he sipped his espresso
He said he would do it again,
Perhaps today more than ever
We need those who would
Take up the task,
Of being of service
To people, to country,
It’s one giant ASK.
