Deception, misconception you’ve
Been told and wrapped in,
When you analyze the sources,
The enablers, the fablers
Dancing on the expert trains,
Whistling in the media frames,
You realize how precious
Are the truth and truthful ones
How hard it is to find them,
Harder still to be one.

Beneath our feet
Grinding, crumbling, groaning,
Plates sliding, slipping, sticking,
Above, governments confused,
Deceiving, plotting, scheming,
With good, bad, no intentions,
The sane among us sit in the sun
Sipping tea and coffee resigned
To the fact that sooner or later
Something has to give.

Would you be alarmed
Or just walk and nod,
If you visited the temples
And found out the truth
