Watching the crazy actions
Of governments, corporations, institutions,
Arrogance, corruption, evil stupidity,
We are driven to look within
And shudder to see the shadows
Of the craziness lurking in ourselves,
Realizing one of the biggest battles
Is or has been,
Flushing, forcing the shadows,
No matter how small, how tiny,
Out of our lives.

Beneath our feet
Grinding, crumbling, groaning,
Plates sliding, slipping, sticking,
Above, governments confused,
Deceiving, plotting, scheming,
With good, bad, no intentions,
The sane among us sit in the sun
Sipping tea and coffee resigned
To the fact that sooner or later
Something has to give.

And discovered the fraud
Would you be alarmed
Or just walk and nod,
If you visited the temples
And found out the truth
