What year was it
When governments gave pharmaceutical
Companies immunity from injuring and killing,
What year was it
When governments forced people to stand
Three feet apart, wear paper masks, take untested
Unproven injections, close businesses, destroy economies,
What year was it
When governments approved and supported genocide,
The bombing of schools, hospitals, residential buildings,
Random killing of children, mothers, old women and men,
Biological drug labs, Nazi battalions, proxy wars,
What year was it
When politicians, broadcast companies and journalists
Covered up and lied about all of the above
And claimed that a mentally fading
President was as sharp as a tack.

Beneath our feet
Grinding, crumbling, groaning,
Plates sliding, slipping, sticking,
Above, governments confused,
Deceiving, plotting, scheming,
With good, bad, no intentions,
The sane among us sit in the sun
Sipping tea and coffee resigned
To the fact that sooner or later
Something has to give.

Or simply not care,
If you dug into governments
And discovered the fraud
Would you be alarmed
Or just walk and nod,
If you visited the temples
And found out the truth
Would you follow your instincts
Or pretend to be couth.
