The old man sipping
His coffee at the corner table said,
Once you understand that tariffs,
Like permits, dues, fees, licenses, are taxes,
You get a better understanding of
The jackasses who build their salaries
On the sweat of others while
Lamenting that they themselves are
Being taken advantage of,
Like the wannabe princes of peace
Whose greatest exports are death and misery,
Using protecting democracy as labels for
Bombs, missiles, drones, poisons,
Phony pharmaceuticals.

Unlimited currency printing and debt,
