In a moment of quiet thought
Rain dripping down the windows
The odd seagull soaring, gliding,
As if playing tag with the drops,
Floated an image of world leaders
Spouting schoolyard nonsense
With the caption,
Some adults never graduate
From childhood.

Loonies and psychopaths,
Pathways,
The pathway to peace -
War, assassinations, genocide.
The pathway to prosperity –
Unlimited currency printing and debt,
The pathway to freedom –
Censorship, lockdowns, surveillance,
Restricted movement and travel,
The pathway to health –
Pharmaceutical drugs, vaccines,
Manufactured food.
