Sometimes the world
Is simply sweet,
Hummingbirds on a date
Revealing seldom seen
Flared tail feather patterns,
Trees cuddling one another
Creating a living, breathing,
Aromatic outside wall,
A young man taking time to
Hold the door open for a slowly
Approaching limping senior,
Simply sweet people and things
That carry you though the
The sour stupidity stirred
By short sighted clowns.

Beneath our feet
Grinding, crumbling, groaning,
Plates sliding, slipping, sticking,
Above, governments confused,
Deceiving, plotting, scheming,
With good, bad, no intentions,
The sane among us sit in the sun
Sipping tea and coffee resigned
To the fact that sooner or later
Something has to give.

And found out the truth
