Full Breakfast
A group of environmentalists
Having a full breakfast at the long table
Asked the old man sipping his coffee
At the corner table what he thought
About the destruction the boomers
And their parents’ generation
Had done to the planet,
It’s an interesting question he replied,
We care for the world until we bomb it,
Until we decide there is money in condos,
One generation fights the Nazis
Another one fund raises for them,
Before we march for animal rights
We sit down to eat a full breakfast.
